Jennifer Lommers

Jennifer Lommers, a contemporary artist based in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, is celebrated for her vibrant, nature-inspired paintings that blend expressive color with layered texture. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, her deep connection to the outdoors—shaped by summers spent hiking and camping around Mount Rainier—continues to significantly influence her work. This connection to the region's natural beauty creates a shared experience, making her art resonate with those who also appreciate the Pacific Northwest. Her art often features birds, trees, and floral motifs, rendered in a joyful, gestural style that reflects spontaneity and emotional depth.

After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting in 1992, Jennifer embarked on a career in information technology. However, her passion for art never waned, and in the early 2000s, she boldly decided to transition to a full-time art career. This courageous move, driven by a desire for a more meaningful path, is a testament to Jennifer's determination and inspires many. Over the years, she has expanded her practice to include mixed media, collage, and fiber-based art, incorporating materials like paper castings and printmaking techniques to explore themes of time, environment, and community.

Jennifer's work, which has been exhibited widely, is not limited to physical galleries. It is also available through platforms like Fine Art America and her website, making it accessible to a global audience. She shares her creative process and inspirations through her Substack newsletter, "Mixed Media Inspirations," and on Instagram under the handle @jenlo262.
