Manami Lingerfelt

Manami Yagashiro Lingerfelt is a Japanese-born artist who is celebrated for her vibrant, mystical paintings that intertwine themes of nature, spirituality, and human emotion. Born and raised in Tokyo, she graduated from Tokyo Musashino Art College in 1985 and began her career as a graphic designer and illustrator for major Japanese publications. Seeking deeper artistic fulfillment, she embarked on a decade-long journey through countries like India, Nepal, and Sweden, experiences that profoundly influenced her creative vision. 2002, she settled in Georgia, USA, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kennesaw State University in 2015.

Lingerfelt's artwork is a journey into a dreamlike world characterized by rich symbolism and fantastical scenes that bridge reality and imagination. Her oil and acrylic paints create pieces that explore the interplay between the tangible world and the ethereal, aiming to evoke a sense of joy and wonder. Her commitment to expressing positive energy through art has led to numerous exhibitions across the United States and Japan and participation in various art festivals.

In addition to her studio work, Lingerfelt has contributed to public art through murals in Cartersville and the University of West Georgia. Her dedication to making the world a more beautiful place through art continues to inspire audiences and fellow artists alike.
