A tropical beach vacation evokes a sense of timeless ease, where the hours stretch gently beneath sun-drenched skies. A coastal cottage hints at a slower pace of life, nestled between lush greenery and vibrant blossoms. With windows open to the sea breeze and a surfboard leaning against the wall, it is a lifestyle built around salt air, gentle tides, and the rhythmic lull of waves.

The ocean sprawls beneath a sky brushed with soft clouds and distant birds. A sailboat glides near the horizon, hinting at leisurely exploration and the serene freedom of sea travel. Islands emerge gently from the sea, adding to the sense of escape and detachment from the hustle of daily life. Everything here whispers of rest, whether through stillness or subtle movement—waves rolling in, palm fronds swaying, breezes rustling through the leaves.

In places like this, relaxation isn't just a goal—it becomes an atmosphere, something felt in every detail. The architecture blends seamlessly with the environment, the flowers offer both color and serenity, and the ocean brings its ever-present melody. A tropical beach vacation is more than a destination; it's a state of being, one that invites people to exhale, unwind, and reconnect with the quiet pleasures of the natural world.

Or, if you can't get away to a tropical beach this year, this colorful puzzle offers a delightful solution. It allows you to recreate that same sense of relaxation on your own porch.

Her artistic journey began in Laguna Beach during the 1960s when the community was rich in artistic inspiration. Altman's early experiences, such as biking along the cliffs of Heisler Park and visiting local galleries, profoundly influenced her creative vision and fostered a lifelong connection to the region's natural beauty. These experiences continue to inspire her work to this day.

Altman's artistic journey is a testament to her diverse educational background. She pursued formal art education at Principia College in Illinois, earning a BA in Studio Art in 1976. Throughout her 30-year career, Altman has showcased her work in prestigious galleries and art festivals, including the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts, Sawdust Festival, and Art-A-Fair.
