Vincent Van Gogh's Mulberry Tree was his favorite painting he painted from his asylum. He recalls enjoying the autumn season in the backyard, especially this Mulberry Tree.
This tree lived in the garden of the asylum. He claimed to have taken advantage of the beautiful days he spent outside in the garden. Van Gogh continued to paint in the mental institution and would send his paintings to his brother, this one being particularly special to him.

Vincent Van Gogh painted The Mulberry Tree in October 1889 less than a year before he would die when he was staying at the Saint Paul Asylum.
Van Gogh continued to paint during his stay at the asylum. He painted all aspects of his life while there: the doctors, the hallways, the flowers in the gardens, the wheat fields, and the trees. Many of his works of art have translated into wooden jigsaw puzzles for adults.
