Randall J. Henrie

Randall J. Henrie is a versatile American artist whose creative journey began in western Colorado, where he was born and raised. The rugged landscape of his upbringing left a lasting impression on his aesthetic sensibility. In his own words, he's 'been a son, a brother, a student, a farm hand, a soldier, a husband, a father, a grandfather, an architect, a gym owner, a fitness instructor, an artist, a dreamer, a philosopher, and an observer of life.' His life's varied experiences, from farm labor to military service, have instilled in him a deep urge to explore creative expression through bold shapes, vivid colors, and the dynamic interplay between forms and context. His journey is a testament to resilience and determination, inspiring others to pursue their creative passions.
Henrie's work encompasses digital art and large-scale murals, blending fine art traditions with digital art. He explores how geometric shapes "organize and support each other, and give context and meaning," weaving together mountains, horizon lines, human figures, and architectural forms with striking visual harmony. As part of collections such as Colorado Mountain Air—highlighted in pieces like Mount Sopris, Mount Sneffels, and Maroon Bells—he captures the majesty of the Rockies with stylized abstraction yet strong emotional resonance.
Henrie, now a full-time artist, travels the country with his wife, Kimberly, balancing his life as an artist, digital specialist, and active community participant. His portfolio spans mural commissions for fitness centers, digital mock‐ups for clients, and an expansive online gallery offering customizable prints and tapestry products. Whether through public murals or the vibrant prints available online, Henrie invites viewers to engage with art imbued with personal history, natural wonder, and philosophical depth—an authentic reflection of a life lived in constant creative motion and community engagement.
