Our thoughts naturally turn to the strong women who have shaped our lives, filling our memories with their love and guidance.

Whether mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, or friends, a community of inspirational voices helps to support each other. After all, behind every successful woman is another strong woman, lifting and propelling her forward.

Throughout history, women have continually displayed their strength, tenacity, and ability to overcome obstacles with grace and humility.

When we saw this painting by Robin Wethe Altman, its title seemed to exemplify that strength, and we knew we had to make it into a puzzle.

The colors make us think of a sunny summer day in Provence, and we can picture this energetic woman, having just returned from the market on her bicycle, with a baguette, a bottle of wine, a bouquet of lavender, some olives, and a wheel of brie in her basket.

The little ginger cat is enjoying the sun in the window as he watches for the mailman and maybe dreams about what is for supper.

This picture tells a story of a glorious day in a beautiful place. A day we would wish for ourselves and for all the women we care about in our lives.

The perfect gift for wooden jigsaw puzzlers, cat lovers, and bicycle fans, this traditional adult wooden jigsaw puzzle can be done time and again. Our wooden jigsaw puzzle artists have included many shaped whimsy wooden jigsaw puzzle pieces that match the theme of the painting, and we have integrated them in ways that will delight and surprise you as you put the wooden jigsaw puzzle together.

Robin Wethe Altman

Robin Wethe Altman, a California-based artist, is celebrated for her vibrant watercolor and acrylic paintings that capture the charm of coastal life, whimsical architecture, and serene landscapes. Her artistic journey began in Laguna Beach during the 1960s when the community was rich in artistic inspiration. Altman's early experiences, such as biking along the cliffs of Heisler Park and visiting local galleries, profoundly influenced her creative vision and fostered a lifelong connection to the region's natural beauty. These experiences continue to inspire her work to this day.

Altman's artistic journey is a testament to her diverse educational background. She pursued formal art education at Principia College in Illinois, earning a BA in Studio Art in 1976. Her artistic perspective was further enriched through studies abroad in the UK, France, Italy, and Switzerland. Under the mentorship of notable artists like James Green, a California Regionalist, Scott Moore, and Rodger Armstrong, Altman's art evolved to celebrate life's beauty, characterized by bold colors and joyful themes.

Throughout her 30-year career, Altman has showcased her work in prestigious galleries and art festivals, including the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts, Sawdust Festival, and Art-A-Fair. Her art has also been featured in city-commissioned projects, such as a massive 4'x16' banner that beautifully captured the essence of Laguna Beach. Through her vibrant paintings, Altman shares her deep appreciation for the beauty of everyday life and inspires others with her optimistic outlook.
