Alan Giana

Alan Giana, an American artist celebrated for his vibrant and tranquil landscapes that blend realism with a touch of fantasy, began his artistic journey at an early age. Born and raised in Connecticut, Giana's passion for art was ignited at four when he created his first artwork on a wall with a magic marker. Influenced by his father, an accomplished ceramic artist, Giana developed a deep appreciation for art early on. He pursued formal education in graphic design and business management, which laid the foundation for his future endeavors in the art world. In the early 1990s, alongside his wife Pamela, he established his own illustration and design company, marking the beginning of a prolific career in commercial art.
Giana has showcased his versatility throughout his career by working on various illustration and design projects. His creations have graced book covers, magazines, children's games, and music CDs and have been featured in several publications showcasing the best in traditional airbrush and digital illustration. His work, spanning various subjects and styles, has garnered numerous accolades, including the Pro-Comm Award of Excellence by the Business Marketing Association, the Premier Print Award by the Printing Industries of America, and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Toy Award. Giana's paintings have been displayed in galleries and shows across the United States, including The Delaware Art Museum.
In 1999, Giana ventured into the world of art licensing, expanding the reach of his artwork to a global audience. His serene and colorful paintings, often depicting nature, coastal scenes, and holiday themes, have been licensed by over fifty companies across the United States, Canada, and Europe. These artworks adorn various products, including puzzles, calendars, greeting cards, mugs, and home décor items, bringing a touch of Giana's art to homes and lives worldwide. Today, Alan Giana continues to create from his home in Simsbury, Connecticut, where he lives with his wife, Pamela, bringing peace and beauty to people worldwide through his art.
